To keep our customers informed about new products and events, Sax Shepherd Designs utilizes a custom-scripted communication system.

Q: Why should I subscribe to Sax Shepherd Designs Notification List?
A: If you are interested in knowing about all the latest releases from Sax Shepherd, then our notification list is the best way to stay informed. We also send out demos and random group gifts via our PROMO HUDs to our subscribers.

Q: How do I get on the Sax Shepherd Designs Notification List?
There are two ways to get on our list:

  • There is a Subscribe/Unsubscribe Kiosk at our MAINSTORE location that will allow you to subscribe, unsubscribe, or check your subscription status.
  • If you purchased a Sax Shepherd Designs product (or were given one as a gift), wearing or rezzing the product will automatically register your product and place you on our notification list.

Q: I don’t remember signing up. How did I get on the Sax Shepherd Designs Notification List?
A: The only way to get on our notification list is to wear or rez a self-registering Sax Shepherd Design item, or to click the kiosk at our MAINSTORE. We never harvest or acquire names through other methods. If you have concerns about how you got on our list, please contact customer service and we will tell you exactly which product registered you to into our system. The only exception to this is bloggers who are maintained separately and may be added manually.

Q: How do I get off your notification list?
There are three easy ways to opt-out of getting any further messages:

  • There is a Subscribe/Unsubscribe Kiosk at our MAINSTORE location that will allow you to subscribe, unsubscribe, or check your subscription status.
  • Each notice comes with our PROMO HUD. The HUD always includes a Subscribe / Unsubscribe button to allow you to opt-in or out of notices.
  • If you purchased a product that includes an SSD FASHION HUD, it should have a SUB button in the upper left that you can use to opt-in or out of notices.

Q: Will I be re-subscribed if I register a new item with Sax Shepherd Designs?
A: Absolutely not. No matter how many items you register with us, your choice to unsubscribe will remain that way until you decide to change it.

Q: Why do I have to opt-out; why didn’t you make the system opt-in?
A: We weighed the choice carefully and examined many options before developing our subscription system. In the end, we decided on an opt-out system that provided the simplest way possible to unsubscribe. Second Life offers limited opportunities for creators to communicate; we tried to make the best choice for both our business purposes and our customers’ privacy choices.

Q: How often are you going to send these notifications?

A: We generally keep it between one and four notifications per month to inform customers of new products, sales, and events SSD is participating in. Hopefully this is no more than once per week. We hate to get spam too, so we do our best to make sure we only send information necessary to our customers.

Q: Do you ever share your notification list with others?
A: Never. Our customer list will never be sold or shared with outside parties. The only people with access to our customer list are part of the Sax Shepherd Designs creative group.

Q: I am a blogger and I’ve unsubscribed but I keep getting notifications.
A: Bloggers are on a different system than our customers in order to supply them with review copies. If you wish to get off the blogger list, please send a notecard to SaxShepherdDesigns Resident and we will attend your wishes as soon as possible.
